Clinical Research Unit
The new Clinical Research Unit centralizes clinical research activities of the Jewish General Hospital into a state-of-the-art facility. Located on a section of the 6th floor of Pavilion E at JGH, the CRU is in direct communication with the Dubrovsky Molecular Pathology Centre (completed in 2014), and the architectural dialogue between them is notable.
Warm yet minimalist spaces bring together treatment areas and staff workstations. The alternating use of black-painted walls elegantly balances the clinical white ambiance. A large volume resembling natural wood textures envelops the patient treatment area. The result is a sophisticated and calming design that is in line with promoting patient comfort and well-being.
