NFOE is looking for a junior, intermediate or senior architect with more than 3 years of experience in architecture, including work on large-scale projects in Quebec.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take part in the design and development of architectural projects of various sizes;
- Carry out or coordinate surveys, feasibility studies and technical analyses;
- Produce and coordinate drawings, specifications and technical documents at every project phase;
- Work with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams;
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and Building Code requirements;
- Help plan and monitor project schedules and budgets;
- Conduct site visits and take part in construction quality monitoring;
- Identify and propose innovative solutions to technical, functional and environmental challenges;
- Take part in mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team (intermediate and senior levels);
- Assist the project manager in supervising the work of other team members and/or oversee construction;
- Perform any other architectural tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience;
- Completed university degree in architecture;
- Member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) as an intern architect or architect (strong asset);
- Good knowledge of the Quebec Building Code;
- Able to travel to the office when needed and to construction sites in the Montreal, Laval and/or Quebec City areas;
- Proficiency in Revit;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and other relevant modelling software;
- Priority management;
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple people and projects at once;
- Creative and proactive;
- Initiative and motivation;
- Experience in the following sectors is an asset: institutional, industrial, pharmaceutical, transportation, healthcare and commercial;
- Excellent spoken and written French.
